Legal
Terms
By creating an account or using Atelier you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not sign in and do not send pages to Grok.
Effective 3 September 2026.
The English text is the official version. This desk language is for the studio chrome; legal pages remain English unless translated later.
The service
Atelier is a writing studio: lessons, a desk with a margin partner, coverage, storyboards, readers, a pitch pack, and a submissions log. It is provided as-is, for personal creative work.
Your work
You keep the copyright in what you write. You grant the publisher a limited licence to process that work only as needed to provide the feature you invoke (for example, sending a fragment to xAI when you press Draft with Grok, or forwarding a margin request to a provider you chose). We do not claim your manuscript.
You must have the right to upload files you import. Do not upload other people’s unpublished work without permission.
Accounts
You must be at least 16. You are responsible for the email and password you use. Email addresses on local accounts are not verified by mail; Google or X sign-in is the stronger identity. Do not share your password.
Grok and Imagine
Optional. Local coverage and local sketches work without them. If you use them, you send text or prompts to xAI under xAI’s API terms. Do not send secrets, other people’s private data, or material you are not allowed to process.
The Write margin can also send a passage to Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek (with a key you provide), or to a local model at an address you set. Those providers are not part of this studio; you are responsible for their terms and for any unpublished work you send.
Outputs can be wrong. Pitch packs, coverage, and boards are tools, not legal, business, or representation advice.
Acceptable use
Do not attack the service, scrape it abusively, impersonate others, or use it to generate unlawful content. The publisher may suspend an account that threatens the service or other people.
No warranty
The desk is provided without warranties of any kind. Writing in a browser can be lost; export copies of work you care about. Grok, Imagine, and hosts can be unavailable.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the publisher is not liable for lost drafts, failed submissions, or decisions you make from notes or pitch packs. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited in your country, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
These terms are effective 3 September 2026. Material changes will be posted on this page.
